While the Senior Summer Sport competition is a short and intense season, our players and coaches deserve a hearty "Congratulations". We had a record 10 of our 18 teams into the finals with two other teams narrowly missing out.Out of the 10 teams, 7 brought home trophies and pennants – with two of these teams only losing narrowly 😊

The results were as follows:

Central Girls Volleyball A win 3 - 1 against Kingswood

Central Girls Volleyball B win 3 – 0 against Knox

Central Girls Tennis win 7 – 1 against Plenty Valley (undefeated for the season)

Central Girls Soccer loss 0 - 1 to Kilvington

Girls Softball win 15 – 5 against Kilvington (undefeated for the season) and now have been selected by the EISM to play in the Premiers Cup at Jells Park on Wednesday 18 April – an exceptional honour!

Mixed Badminton Blue win 10 -8 against Knox White (an inaugural competition)

Central Boys Volleyball B win 3 – 0 against Bialik (this team never dropped a set all season!)

Southern Boys Volleyball win 3 – 1 against Nunawading

To finish Term 1, we had the most beautiful day for the fiercely contested House Athletics Carnival that was held at the Knox Athletics track. It was a brilliant carnival where 8 event records were broken! The final results came down to the last events, the relays. This made for a most exciting finish to the day.Congratulations to the winning House, Bruce House.A hearty thanks to our hard-working staff who made the day flow so smoothly.Special thanks to Mr Layton Montgomery (parent of Shivani Gharti-Magar, Yr 7) for his assistance with displaying all the event result printouts for our students.

Our Huntingtower Athletics Team heads off to Lakeside Stadium next Tuesday, 1 May to contest the EISM Division 1 Athletics Carnival. We wish Lucy Dobbyn and Anton Maksoutov, our School Athletics Captains and their team the very best for this event!
