Message from the Principal

Thought for the Week:

"Take care of your thoughts when you're alone and take care of your words when you're with people."

It is with our thoughts that we design our world.  We bring our world into existence. In the field of infinite possibilities, we will experience precisely what we choose, consciously or unconsciously. By "standing porter at the door of thought" (MBE), we begin to allow into our experience all that will bless us, help us to grow and will ultimately bless the world. To make a difference in the world we must begin by making a difference in ourselves and the only way to do that is to take care of our own thinking; we cannot change other people's thinking, that is their choice.  Every word we speak identifies to others what is going on in our thinking, and with out words and actions we can choose to bless or to harm them. Let's bless!

Congratulations to our amazing School Swimming Team on another successful campaign. At MSAC this week, our team won all sections of the EISM inter-school swimming carnival. The commitment and enthusiasm shown by every swimmer and all the supporters was wonderful. Every swimmer was supported , and we were all so proud of the way they conducted themselves. Grateful thanks to all our swimming coaches, Mrs Aden, Mr Powell, Mr Smith, Ms Savage and everyone else involved.

Thank you to our Parents and Friends Association (PFA) for the wonderful Welcome evening that was held last Friday evening. It was good to see so many parents and students attending. Thank you to the students who entertained us and to the staff members and PFA members who assisted with cooking sausages and making everyone feel so welcome.

We are in the middle of our Senior School House Music Festival and have been treated to some wonderful solo and small group performances. On Tuesday night, the final night of the festival will be held in the Robert Blackwood Hall at Monash University and we look forward to hearing our House Choirs, Orchestras and Chamber Choirs. This is always a most enjoyable evening and I look forward to seeing you all there.

Congratulations to Narayan Matthews (one of our School Captains) on winning the Lions Youth of the Year Competition in Monash and also in the Zone. He now progresses to the next level of the competition and we all wish him well.
